Vote up the most frustrating & cringey scenes.

Marvel movies have dominated the superhero scene for years now. However, there are often choices that go against the comics or the character's personality. Sometimes, there are moments that just don't work for continuity reasons, bad acting, or just plain bad taste. While humor comes with the territory, creating a scene for a cheap laugh always feels forced and uncomfortable for an audience. These small moments can actually end up souring the entire movie for fans.

All such frustrating moments have been reported by fans and gathered below, vote up the scenes you agree with!

The Bullying Of Scott Lang In 'Endgame'

The Bullying Of Scott Lang In 'Endgame'

    From Redditor u/CornholioRex:

When everyone bullies Scott Lang in Endgame. Like, this dude just miraculously came out of nowhere with a solution to the blip and they treat him like he's a wimpy kid.

    From Redditor u/DaemonDrayke:

More to the point, Scott Lang is not some simpleton. He literally has a masters degree in Electrical Engineering, but the writers didn't illustrate that. Instead, to make Pym look smarter, they dumbed down Scott and made him the butt of every joke.

    From Redditor u/Cow_Other:

I cringed in those scenes. He's responsible for the plan that will save half the universe. It's a bigger plan than anything anyone's ever done, and it's going to save more people than have ever been saved before.

He's got the greatest heroic feat and is somehow still not respected by his teammates.

    The 'Endgame' Girl-Power Scene

    The 'Endgame' Girl-Power Scene

    From Redditor u/MackoUsko:

The 'girl power' scene in Endgame

I thought the way they did it in Infinity War was great, they all knew each other and had chemistry.

But the Endgame one was just so on the nose, like, most of them don't even know each other. Gamora 2014 has no reason even being there. If it made some people happy, I guess it was worth it, but they deserved better than that one out-of-place scene.

    From Redditor u/Blueguy16:

Also, the f**k kind of backup did Captain Marvel really need? She just flew straight through a warship. Also, how would all these female superheroes meet each other on the massive battlefield amidst all the chaos, what about the allies they were fighting with? It make absolutely zero sense.

    From Redditor u/Whatjadlinjadles:

No other scene in any movie of the MCU stands out as being placed specifically to pander. The scene was obviously meant to showcase girl-power, but was was too obvious.

The right way to do this is to actually write female leads and give them screen time. This to me seemed like a bunch of men saying, "all right now, let's do something for the ladies." Complete BS.

    Black Widow's Invincible Scene

    Black Widow's Invincible Scene

    From Redditor u/CruzAderjc:

Her falling down an alley, hitting the vent, and landing 10 stories down onto pavement, and getting up like it was nothing - it made the whole audience laugh. Like, what are we even watching?

    Shuri Vs. Bruce

    Shuri Vs. Bruce

    From Reddit u/AtlasClone:

Shuri treating Bruce like he's some kind of half-wit in Infinity War. And worse still, Bruce just kinda taking it.

It always annoys me when a genius character condescendingly asks why someone didn't think of some shit. Like hey, you know you're the smartest f**king person in the room and you know more than most people. So why are you acting like the thing you have years of training and expertise in should be obvious to someone else, if not just for the sake of being a huge egotistical dick. And that would be bad enough if she said it to a layman. but it's Bruce f**king Banner, he's one of the smartest people on the entire planet and in Age of Ultron we're told he's the world's leading expert in the field of bio-organics. He had like an hour to make Vision, excuse him if he didn't create a masterpiece of engineering when he created the first sentient artificial life-form.

What really makes it cringey for me is that you can tell the scriptwriters thought it would make Shuri seem smart, but in actuality it just makes her seem like an asshole.

Tony Gets Surgery In 'Iron Man 3'

Tony Gets Surgery In 'Iron Man 3'

    From Redditor u/FoMoni:

Tony deciding to get surgery and the arc reactor removed from his chest in Iron Man 3. There was no explanation as to why it was suddenly possible, but wasn't in Iron Man 2 when the reactor was poisoning him.

    Rhodey's Injury Is Downplayed

    Rhodey's Injury Is Downplayed

    From Redditor u/SuperCoenBros:

Rhodey's spine was severed, he was never going to walk again. Then 30 minutes of screen-time later, he was walking and said, "Y'know, it was worth it." Any physical trauma is cinematically superficial, any emotional trauma is nonexistent.
