Vote up the things younger than Queen Elizabeth II that really put time into perspective.

Queen Elizabeth II was born on April 21, 1926, and lived to be 96 years old. Her titles changed over the years, often a reflection of the changes taking place all around her. After transitioning from princess to queen on February 6, 1952, she ruled many areas around the world and oversaw a British imperial presence on nearly every continent.

The sheer longevity of Queen Elizabeth II on the global stage makes the 70 ½ years she was on the throne that much more fascinating. To think of everything she saw, lived through, and participated in is an opportunity to look back and identify how much changed in her life. It's also a chance to identify everything she saw come to fruition.

We found a bunch of items the Queen was older than - small stuff, everyday objects, conveniences we don't want to live without, things that have become antiquated, and some true life savers. And, we have to admit, they left us looking at time - and the Queen - a little differently.
